The Wind Beneath My Wings
Every man and woman who serves in our nation’s military has someone standing behind them.
Parents who worried. Spouses who carried the family through deployments. Children who waited. Friends who never stopped writing. Mentors who encouraged. Communities that welcomed them home.
The Wind Beneath My Wings is a new exhibit at Aviation Heritage Park and Museum celebrating the families, friends, and supporters whose love, sacrifice, and encouragement helped our military heroes answer the call to serve.
As part of this exhibit, we’re creating a photographic collage featuring military men and women from our region alongside the people who supported them throughout their journey.
If you have a photograph of a service member in uniform, with family, friends, or loved ones, we invite you to share it with us. Whether the photo was taken before deployment, during a homecoming, at a graduation, or simply during everyday life, your memories can help tell an important story.
Please upload your photo using the form below and help us honor the people who have always been the wind beneath our heroes’ wings.
