KEEP THEIR STORIES IN FLIGHT.

Aviation Heritage Park & Museum preserves more than aircraft. We preserve the stories of the men and women who flew them, maintained them, served beside them and helped shape our region’s remarkable aviation heritage.

Membership is a way to become part of that mission. Your support helps us care for historic aircraft and artifacts, create new exhibits, expand educational programs and continue sharing these stories with generations to come.

Admission to Aviation Heritage Park & Museum is free. Membership helps keep it that way.

FROM ONE AIRCRAFT TO A MUSEUM

Aviation Heritage Park began with an extraordinary discovery. During a 2005 trip to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, retired Brigadier General Dan Cherry learned of an F-4 Phantom in Ohio that needed a new home. When he saw its tail number, he recognized it immediately: 66-7550, the aircraft he had flown in combat over Vietnam.

Bringing that Phantom home to South-Central Kentucky sparked a larger vision: to preserve not only historic aircraft, but the stories of the remarkable aviators connected to our region.

The outdoor Aviation Heritage Park opened in 2008. Over the years, more aircraft and more stories followed. In September 2023, the opening of Aviation Heritage Park & Museum created a permanent home where those stories can be preserved, shared and passed to future generations.
