
Aviation Heritage Park & Museum Expands Public Hours Beginning May 18
Aviation Heritage Park & Museum is pleased to announce expanded public hours beginning May 18, offering visitors even more opportunities to explore one of South Central Kentucky’s most unique educational and tourism destinations.
Beginning May 18, the museum building will be open:
Monday through Saturday
10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The outdoor Aviation Heritage Park remains open to the public 365 days a year during daylight hours.
Admission to both the park and museum is always free thanks to the generosity of community donors, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who believe in preserving the stories of regional aviation heroes and inspiring future generations.
Located at Basil Griffin Park in Bowling Green, Aviation Heritage Park & Museum honors aviators connected to South Central Kentucky whose service and achievements helped shape military aviation, aerospace, and American history. Visitors can experience historic aircraft, exhibits highlighting local aviation heroes, and interactive educational opportunities for all ages.
The museum has also become an important educational resource for students and families throughout the region. Aviation Heritage Park & Museum offers free school field trips for a limited time through grant support, giving students hands-on learning experiences connected to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, leadership, and history.
In addition to field trips, the museum continues to expand STEM programming for young people through summer camps, aviation education activities, flight simulators, robotics, drones, and other interactive experiences designed to spark curiosity and encourage future careers in aviation and technology.
