THIS SATURDAY! See an astronaut-autographed Corvette and climb up in AHP’s T38. It’s also the perfect opportunity to double your support for the park. Every dollar donated Saturday will be matched.
John Legere is bringing his 2006 Corvette to AHP this Saturday, August 31, from 10 am to 1 pm to join the AHP NASA T-38 Talon in a special “Hoods-Up” event. Legere is a NASA Safety Specialist whose Corvette is graced with autographs of astronauts like Neil Armstrong and John Glenn. Those men, along with every Mercury, Gemini and Apollo astronaut, have flown the park’s T-38.
Check out both the Corvette and the NASA T-38 from 10 am until 1 pm. This event will allow visitors to not only see the signatures on the engine bay of the car but to also sit in the cockpit of the T-38 for photo opportunities.
Legere will also display other space-related items, including several of the heat shielding tiles from the Space Shuttle. Park docents will be on hand to share information about the park aircraft.
Come out to Aviation Heritage Park this Saturday, see a great display and support the park with a donation.
AHP is located at 1825 Three Springs Road, Bowling Green, KY. AHP is open 7 days a week from dawn until dusk. Admission is free, donations are greatly appreciated. For more information about AHP, please visit aviationheritagepark.com.
