September 11 Remembrance – 25th Anniversary
Aviation Heritage Park & Museum will mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, with a special remembrance ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday, September 11, inside the Museum.
The community is invited to join us as we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor those who answered the call to serve, and reflect on a day that forever changed America.
Brig. Gen. Todd Wiles, a Warren East High School and Western Kentucky University graduate, will be the featured speaker. Wiles is a decorated Air Force command pilot whose distinguished career included combat service in Iraq and Afghanistan, 15 years flying the F-16, and service as Chief of Staff for the Tennessee Air National Guard.
The remembrance will also include prayer and the playing of Taps in honor of those whose lives were lost.
