🎯 Designed for students in 2nd-6th grade.

Get ready for takeoff! Young explorers are invited to spend the day as junior aviators at Aviation Experience Day, a hands-on, fun-filled adventure at Aviation Heritage Park. This event is designed especially for students in grades 2-6 who are curious about how planes fly and excited to learn more about the world of aviation.

Throughout the day, students will rotate through engaging, age-appropriate sessions:

🕹️ Simulator Time – Try flying like a real pilot in a kid-friendly flight simulator

🛠️ Build & Fly Gliders – Create your own aircraft and test it in action

🔍 AHP Scavenger Hunt – Explore the park and discover hidden aviation treasures

🗺️ Flight Planning – Learn how pilots map their trips through the sky

📚 History of Aviation – Travel from the Wright brothers to today’s jet age

During lunch, kids will enjoy a special Lunch & Learn with Airmen, hearing stories from real pilots and asking their questions about life in the sky.

The day ends with a cockpit photo-op inside a real aircraft and a Wing Ceremony, where each child will receive their very own aviator wings and a certificate for completing their flight experience.
