Freedom Gallery Opens July 4
BOWLING GREEN, KY – Aviation Heritage Park & Museum invites the public to celebrate Independence Day with the opening of the new Freedom Gallery on Saturday, July 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Freedom Gallery honors three distinguished military aviators whose service, leadership, and sacrifice helped defend freedom across generations of American history:
- CWO3 Charles Browning, USA – Combat assault helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War and participant in Operation Lam Son 719.
- Lt. Col. Gerald Roark, USAF – KC-135 and EC-135 command pilot who flew critical missions during the Vietnam War and later supported command and control operations during Operation Desert Storm.
- CW4 Timothy “T-Bone” Vincent, USA – Army Ranger, combat helicopter pilot, and highly decorated veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Through photographs, artifacts, personal memorabilia, and interpretive displays, visitors will discover the remarkable stories behind these Kentucky aviators and gain a deeper appreciation for the men and women who have served our nation.
“The Freedom Gallery helps preserve the personal stories behind military service,” said Bob Bubnis, Executive Director of Aviation Heritage Park & Museum. “These aviators represent courage, dedication, and a lifelong commitment to country. We are honored to share their stories with our community and future generations.”
The Freedom Gallery joins the museum’s growing collection of exhibits that celebrate the people, aircraft, and events that have shaped aviation history and military service.
Admission to both Aviation Heritage Park and Aviation Heritage Park & Museum is always free.
The museum is located at 1825 Three Springs Road, Bowling Green, Kentucky, at the corner of Three Springs Road and Smallhouse Road.
