AVIATION CAMP 2020 IS CANCELLED.
We are sad to announce that the Aviation Museum of Kentucky has decided to cancel all 2020 Aviation Summer Camps. There were simply too many unknowns to proceed and it would have been nearly impossible to meet the social distancing guidelines that are in effect. The safety of the students and staff is most important.
Previous Announcement about Camps
There will be TWO aviation summer camps this year! The Jan & Jim Bohannon Aviation Summer Camp will take place July 7-8 and will be open to ages 10-17 and the Bob & Cara Pitchford Aviation Summer Camp will take place July 9-10 and will be open to ages 10-adult. This way, families are able to attend together! Both camps take place 8:30am – 3:30pm each day at the Bowling Green – Warren County Regional Airport (1000 Woodhurst Dr.). These camps are expected to fill up fast, so apply as soon as possible. Deadline to apply is June 23, 2020, although, if both camps fill up before this date, registration will close.
The cost for Aviation Summer Camp is $274 per person. To apply online and pay by credit card, please visit the AMK Website to register. If mailing applications or checks, download an application and mail it, along with your payment, to the Bowling Green – Warren County Regional Airport at 1000 Woodhurst Dr. Suite 210, Bowling Green, KY 42103 – make checks payable to the Aviation Museum of Kentucky.
If you are applying for a scholarship: There are a limited number of scholarships available and they are considered first come first serve – if applying for a scholarship, please download a scholarship application and send it in with your camp application. Scholarship applications are reviewed monthly until the camp deadline. You will be contacted at the end of the month in which you apply to let you know if you have or have not received a scholarship. If you are applying for a scholarship, you cannot register online.
